School Website Design
School websites are most frequently visited in the weeks leading up to new student registrations. Those who visit are usually prospective parents comparing several schools at once, usually from their mobile phones and usually at night, with questions that are almost always the same: when does registration open, what are the requirements, how much are the fees, and what's the school like.
What usually holds schools back
Information about new student admissions is usually scattered. Since Permendikdasmen No. 3 Tahun 2025 it has been called Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru (SPMB), replacing PPDB, but the problem is the same. The schedule is in a brochure, the requirements are in a WhatsApp group, and the fees are only given if you ask the school office directly. As a result, office staff answer the same questions over and over during admissions season, while prospective parents who don't have time to ask move on to another school whose information is easier to find.
The second problem is neglected websites. Many schools once had a website, then it stopped being updated after the teacher who ran it was transferred or the person who built it could no longer be reached. A latest announcement from three years ago makes a worse impression than having no website at all. The cause is rarely the technology. The content was designed to be more than the people available could maintain.
The third is ownership. A school's domain and website access are often registered in an individual's name, not the institution's. Once that person leaves, the school loses its own address. For an institution that will outlast anyone's tenure by far, this is the first thing to fix.
What it can look like for schools
We don't have a specific demo for formal schools yet. The closest example is the TutorinAja demo that we built ourselves for a tutoring center, not an actual operating institution. Its structure is relevant for schools: division by level from elementary to college, teacher profiles along with their subjects, class options, and registration forms. The form in the demo is just for display purposes. A registration form that actually stores prospective student data requires a database and we discuss that separately.

What you get
For schools, the content that prospective parents usually look for is this:
- Brief profile: level, accreditation, curriculum used, and address with map
- Admission information on one page: schedule, requirements, registration process, and contact person
- Registration fees and regular fees, written as is, including what is already included
- List of teachers and subjects, as far as the school allows to be displayed
- Activities and extracurricular activities, with photos taken at your own school
- Announcements and school news, if there is someone who will actually fill it
- WhatsApp number or school administration phone number along with its service hours
What we do not recommend: photos of students along with their names and classes without written permission from parents, and news pages that are not filled. One accurate admission page is more useful than twenty pages that were last updated last year.
Pricing for a school website
Schools that need a profile and SPMB information on one page can opt for the Starter package, Rp 1.500.000, which already includes a .com domain, hosting, and SSL for the first year, and will be completed around 3 days after we receive the complete materials.
The Business package, Rp 5.000.000, with a processing time of 1 to 2 weeks, is more suitable if the school wants separate pages for profiles, teachers, activities, and SPMB, plus a blog for announcements that are published through requests. If the school wants online registration that stores prospective student data, or an admin panel so that staff can change announcements themselves, that falls under the Enterprise package starting from Rp 15.000.000. The details are on the package page. The calculation per level, the cost of the .sch.id domain, and the second-year bill are written in the article cost of making a school website.
Questions we often get from schools
- Can we use the .sch.id domain?
Yes, with a note. The .sch.id domain is specifically for schools and its registration requires official school documents, so the process takes longer than registering a .com domain. Our package prices include a .com domain for the first year; if the school chooses .sch.id, we will explain the difference and the process in the proposal before you decide. The domain will be registered under the school's name.
- Who updates the announcements after the website is live?
This is a question that should be answered before the website is created. In the Starter and Business packages, there is no admin panel, so new announcements are published through requests to us; what is included during the support period and the cost after that is written in the proposal. If there is a staff member who will fill in the announcements every week, the admin panel in the Enterprise package allows them to do it themselves.
- Can we post photos of students?
Yes, with written permission from the parents, because almost all of your students are minors. If such permission has never been requested, photos of activities taken from behind or from a distance, classrooms, laboratories, and fields are enough to give an idea of the school.
- Can we create online student registration?
Yes, in the Enterprise package, because prospective student data must be stored, checked by the committee, and kept confidential. For schools whose registrations can still be handled manually, a simpler method is often sufficient: a complete and clear SPMB page, plus a link to the form or the WhatsApp number of the committee. For public schools, the online registration application is provided by the local government according to Permendikdasmen No. 3 Tahun 2025, so the school website just needs to link to that application.
- Can we also create websites for TK and PAUD?
Yes, with the same package. Parents of prospective TK and PAUD students usually look for entrance and exit times, registration fees and monthly fees, daily activities, and who the teachers are. One Starter page that contains all that, plus a WhatsApp button to ask questions, is usually enough. For photos, the rules are the same as the answer above: use written permission from parents.
