Questions first, design second.
Before deciding what the website looks like, I find out what your business is trying to do and what your visitors are looking for.
Problems traced to the source.
When something breaks, I look for the cause, whether it sits in the interface or in the system behind it, so the fix is more than a patch.
Scope agreed up front.
What the package includes and leaves out is written down before work starts, so we expect the same thing.
