What data reaches us when you use this site or order a website, what we use it for, and how to ask for it to be deleted.

In short

  • The brief form on the contact page stores nothing on our server. Its contents become a WhatsApp message that you send yourself.
  • This site uses Google Analytics to count visits. We do not sell your data.
  • You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data by email or WhatsApp.

1. About this policy

This policy applies to the inwebsite.online site and to communication with InWebsite, a website design service run by Mahendra Zulqarnaen in Batam. We process personal data in accordance with Law Number 27 of 2022 regarding Personal Data Protection.

This policy does not cover websites we build for clients. Those follow their owners’ own privacy policies.

2. Data that reaches us

  • The brief form on the contact page. It asks for a package, timeline, budget range, message, name, email, and WhatsApp number. This form does not send data to our server. When you press send, its contents are turned into a WhatsApp message, and the data reaches us only if you send that message.
  • WhatsApp and email. The conversation, the sender's number or address, and files you send.
  • The chat widget in the bottom-right corner. The message you type is sent to InWebChatBot, a chat service owned by InWebsite, to be answered automatically from the content of this site. Do not write passwords or sensitive data there.
  • The cost calculator in blog articles. The calculation runs in your browser and is not sent anywhere.
  • Visit data. Google Analytics records the pages opened, buttons clicked, device and browser type, estimated location (city or country level), and where you came to this site from.
  • Client project data. If you order a website: business profile, materials (logo, photos, text), and access to the domain, hosting, or other service accounts you give us for the work.

3. How we use data

  • Answering questions and preparing quotes.
  • Working on projects, sending progress updates, and providing support after the website goes live.
  • Issuing invoices and recording payments.
  • Understanding which pages are read and which parts are confusing, so that this site can be improved.
  • Sending information or promotions, only if you tick the consent box for it in the brief form.

4. Third-party services

We do not sell or rent your data. Data may pass through the following third-party services because our site and our communication use them:

  • WhatsApp (Meta): WhatsApp conversations are also subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics (Google): visit data is processed on Google's servers.
  • Hosting and content delivery providers: to serve this site with its images and videos.
  • Domain, hosting, and other service providers, in the client’s name: the data needed to register an account in your name.

We will also hand over data when required by law or requested by an authorized agency.

This site does not currently use Meta or TikTok ad pixels. If we add them for advertising later, this page will be updated first.

5. Storage and security

  • This site can only be accessed via HTTPS, so data between your browser and this site is encrypted.
  • Conversations are stored in our WhatsApp and email for as long as necessary for the project and support, and for bookkeeping.
  • Account access you give us for the work is used only for that project. After handover, we recommend changing your passwords.
  • If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it, except what we are required to keep for bookkeeping and tax purposes.

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell new visits from return visits.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. This site can still be used without these cookies.

7. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

  • Know what data about you is stored with us, and request a copy of it.
  • Request that incorrect or incomplete data be corrected.
  • Request that data be deleted, and withdraw any consent you have previously given, such as for information and promotions.

Send your request by email or WhatsApp (see Contact). To make sure data is not handed to someone else, we may ask you to send the request from the email address or phone number we have on file.

8. Children

Our services are intended for business owners and not for children. If you know that a child's data has been sent to us, contact us and we will delete the data.

9. Changes to this policy

If the way we use data changes, this policy is updated and the "Last updated" date above changes too.
