A website with clear structure and navigation, for a small business going online for the first time

This is a demo website I built on my own as a sample, not paid client work. The business name is illustrative. The live preview above is the real build.

About This Website

Tutoring service website covering subjects, education levels, tutor profiles, and class booking.

Notes Behind This Demo

TutorinAja is a private tutoring service I made up for this demo. The person I pictured opening the page is a parent looking for a tutor: they want to know which subjects and school levels each tutor covers, and then choose between home visits and online lessons before sending a message.

Three design decisions

I grouped the subjects into four categories, each with its own soft tint: navy, coral, teal, and amber. The tints only mark categories, while every button uses a single deep coral, so the eye can tell buttons from labels right away.
I compare online lessons and home visits in two equal cards, each with a photo and three points. Parents usually settle on the format first and pick a tutor after, which is why this comparison comes before the tutor list.
Each tutor card shows the subject and the level range, such as primary through junior high (SD to SMP), above the bio. A child's school level is usually the first filter, and only then do parents read about each tutor.

Tutor profiles and a subject list like these fit Starter, including a simple contact form that sends messages to the owner's email. The booking form in this demo is not connected to anything yet. Tutor schedules that parents book directly, with every booking saved, require a database plus an admin panel, so they count as Enterprise work, from Rp 15.000.000.
