Car Showroom Website Design

Car buyers rarely decide based on the brand. They compare units one by one: what year, how many kilometers, where are the service records, and what's most often asked via chat, is the unit still available or was it taken by someone yesterday afternoon.

What usually holds car showrooms back

Potential buyers arrive at your showroom after browsing through dozens of units on screen. What they look for in each unit is always the same: photos of the car actually parked in your location, from four sides, plus the cabin, engine room, and trunk. Factory catalog photos look neat but don't tell them anything about the unit they will see tomorrow, so the pages that use them actually raise questions about whether the unit is really available in your location.

The second problem is units that have been sold but are still on display. This is a persistent complaint in car showrooms, and the consequences pile up in two ways. Potential buyers take a one-hour trip to see a unit that turns out to have been sold out last week, then go home with the impression that your place doesn't take care of its website. On the other hand, your sales team spends half a day answering questions that only contain two words, is it still available.

The third issue is about numbers. Most car buyers use credit, and what determines whether they contact you or not is whether their monthly installments fit into their monthly salary. Questions about the minimum down payment, tenor options, and estimated monthly installments are almost always the first messages you receive. Showrooms that already display these estimates on their unit pages receive chats that immediately ask about scheduling a unit viewing and test drive.

What it can look like for car showrooms

This Batam Auto Gallery demo was built by us as an example of its form, not a paid client website. It contains a list of units that can be filtered by category such as SUV, MPV, hatchback, and electric vehicles, a special section for electric vehicles, a monthly installment estimator, a promo and trade-in section, as well as a meeting scheduler via WhatsApp. The installment calculator runs on the visitor's browser and does not store anything, so the page remains a regular static website.

What you get

For a car showroom, the information that potential buyers usually read is this:

  • One page or one card per unit, with year, mileage, transmission, color, and partially masked vehicle registration number
  • Photos of the units that are actually available at your location: four exterior sides, front and rear cabin, engine room, trunk, and parts that have a warranty
  • Service history and tax status, including when the STNK is valid and whether a spare key is complete
  • Availability status per unit, plus the last update date of the list
  • Estimated installment payments from several DP and tenor options, complete with the assumptions used to calculate them
  • Trade-in information: how the old unit's estimate is calculated and what needs to be brought when visiting
  • Showroom address, business hours, and sales phone number that is actually answered during those hours

What we do not recommend at the beginning: a credit application form that asks visitors to upload their ID, family card, and paycheck directly to your website. Once such documents are uploaded, you are responsible for storing them, and leaked identity documents from a showroom can harm the owner long after the car is sold. Your partner financing company already has a system designed for that along with its legal responsibilities. On your page, just mention what documents need to be prepared, then ask potential buyers to bring them when visiting.

Pricing for a car showroom website

A showroom with a small stock that moves slowly is still sufficient with the Starter package, Rp 1.500.000, which already includes a domain, hosting, and SSL for the first year, and will be completed in about 3 days once we receive your complete materials.

When your stock changes every week and each unit needs eight to ten photos, the Business package for Rp 5.000.000 with a processing time of 1 to 2 weeks is more suitable. In this package, photos are stored in Cloudflare's CDN, so the list of units filled with images remains open quickly on mobile networks, and there is room for a separate page per unit. A comparison of the contents can be found on the package page, and we explain why large photos can slow down pages in our article about CDN.

Questions we often get from car showrooms

My unit stock changes every week. Can a static page keep up?

Without an admin panel, units are added and removed through requests to us. In Business, catalog updates are included in 1 month of support; in Starter, the support period is specifically for bug fixes, so the cost of content changes is written in the proposal. One helpful habit regardless of who does the work: include the last update date of the list above the unit list, and remove sold units on the same day, not at the end of the month. If your turnover is very fast and you want to change it yourself at any time, that falls under a page with an admin panel, and we discuss the calculation first before you decide.

Can I use catalog photos from the factory so it looks neat?

For new units with the same color, it's still acceptable to use official photos from the brand as a supplement. For used units, take photos of the vehicle itself, including dents on the bumper and stains on the seats. Used car buyers already expect some wear and tear, and what makes them cancel is finding unmentioned defects after traveling a long distance.

Does the estimated installment on the website bind us?

No, as long as you write down your assumptions. Mention the interest rate used for calculation, the choice of tenor, and that the number does not include insurance and administrative fees. Add one sentence that the final approval and number are determined by the financing company after the application. The buyer who reads your assumptions understands that the number is an estimate, while a number without any explanation will be considered the final price by them.

Should the unit price be written, or is it enough to just contact us?

Write it. Car buyers filter by budget before filtering by anything else, and units without prices are skipped immediately because they don't want to start a conversation about something that might be out of their reach. If your price is indeed negotiable, write the price and then state clearly that it's still open for discussion on the spot.

My unit is already listed on a car marketplace. What does a website add?

The marketplace sells unit by unit and stops when its display period ends, while your phone number appears alongside dozens of other sellers for the same car. What doesn't fit there is your own showroom: since when it was established, how units are inspected before being displayed, whether there is an engine warranty, and how the process of changing ownership is handled. Buyers who have found one of your units on the marketplace almost always search for the name of your showroom before heading out.
