Clinic Website Design

Most phone calls to clinics ask about things that already have fixed answers: which days a doctor practices, whether they accept BPJS, which branch is closest. A page that answers these questions correctly makes patients come at the right time and allows front desk staff to handle people who are already standing in front of them.

What usually holds clinics back

The practice schedule is the number one question in the clinic, and the answer is different for each doctor. Patients call to confirm that a specific doctor is available, often precisely at the time when the front desk staff is serving a queue. Unanswered calls end in two ways: the patient comes by chance and then goes home because the doctor is on leave, or they switch to another clinic whose schedule can be read.

The next question is about payment. People want to know if their visit is covered by BPJS, if their office insurance is accepted, and approximately how much the examination costs if they pay themselves. This is an awkward question to ask at the counter when there are already people queuing behind, so many patients choose not to ask and ultimately do not come at all.

What is most important in a clinic is trust. People entrust their bodies, and they read reviews before making a decision. The doctor's name along with their field, the address of each branch, practice hours, and the list of available services perform that task much better than promotional phrases. We ourselves do not write promises of healing or claims of results on the clinic's page, and if you have material that has been approved by the clinic management, we use that material.

What it can look like for clinics

This Griya Sehat demo was built by us as an example of the format, not a fully operational clinic website. It contains an ordering flow that selects a branch, specialization, then visit time, and subsequently generates a queue number, plus a board displaying the currently served queue number at each branch. One important note: a flow like this requires a database and staff to update it, so the calculation is different from a regular information page and we always discuss it separately before you decide.

What you get

For a clinic, the content most frequently sought by patients is usually this:

  • Doctor's practice schedule, written per day, complete with name and field of expertise
  • List of services and examinations available, separated by branch if they are different
  • Payment information: cash, BPJS, or which insurance companies work with you
  • Address of each branch with a map and phone number, not just one central number for all
  • Operating hours, including weekends and emergency service hours if your clinic provides them
  • WhatsApp registration number with an initial message that mentions the branch, so the staff knows which branch the patient is from

What we do not recommend at the beginning: online registration with a direct queue number. Besides requiring a database, this system requires someone to update it every day. In a clinic, a wrong schedule on the screen results in patients coming to a doctor who is not practicing, and the lost trust due to this is much more expensive than the cost of the system. We usually recommend that the information page is operational first, the schedule has been proven correct for several months, before discussing the queue.

One more thing about patient data. According to Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, health data and information are included in specific personal data. Therefore, the form on the clinic's website should only ask what is necessary to make an appointment: name, WhatsApp number, branch, and visit time. Complaints and medical history are safer to be asked directly by health personnel. This type of informational website is also separate from electronic medical records, which health service facilities are required to organize according to Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022 and connect to the SATUSEHAT platform of the Ministry of Health. That is a separate system, not part of our website package.

Pricing for a clinic website

A clinic with one branch and several doctors is still suitable with the Starter package, Rp 1.500.000, which already includes a domain, hosting, and SSL for the first year, with a completion time of around 3 days since we receive the complete materials.

If your branch has more than one and each branch has its own schedule and services, the Business package Rp 5.000.000 is more suitable: it has a wider page and already includes a blog to write health education, which in this field is one of the most natural ways to be found through search. The completion time is 1 to 2 weeks. The contents of each package can be compared on the package page.

Questions we often get from clinics

The doctor's schedule often changes suddenly. If the website is incorrect, it will become a problem.

Yes, and that's a real risk in clinics. The method we usually use: the schedule is written as a fixed practice hour per doctor, plus one sentence asking patients to confirm via WhatsApp before departing, especially for the first visit. Schedule changes after the website is live are handled through a request to us. In Business, updates like this are included in the 1-month support period; in Starter, the support period is specifically for bug fixes, so the cost of content changes is stated in the proposal.

Is it allowed to display patient testimonials on the clinic website?

We advise you to be cautious here. Testimonials that mention someone's illness or treatment results also reveal that person's medical history, and should not be displayed even if the person has given verbal permission. If you still want to include them, limit them to service experiences such as ease of registration or staff friendliness, and keep a written record of their permission. Advertisements and publications of health services also have their own rules, Permenkes No. 1787/MENKES/PER/XII/2010, so read those rules first before posting testimonials in any form.

We have three branches. One website or one per branch?

One website with separate pages per branch. Three separate websites divide your search power into three and multiply the maintenance work every time something changes. Each branch can still have its own address, map, phone number, and doctor's schedule within the same website.

Can we include that we accept BPJS and certain insurances?

Yes, and it's best to include it because this is the most frequent question that stops people from coming. Write the name of the guarantor as is, mention which services are included, and include when the list was last updated so that patients know if the information is still valid or needs to be confirmed first.

Do examination prices need to be displayed?

For examinations with fixed prices, such as general consultations or basic laboratory tests, displaying prices helps patients who pay themselves and reduces questions at the counter. For procedures with costs that depend on the condition, it's enough to write the approximate price or a note that the cost will be announced after the initial examination.
