Travel and Umrah Website Design

Before paying a down payment, prospective pilgrims and tour participants check a lot of things: the travel agency's license, what's included in the price, a confirmed departure date, and when the final payment is due. A good travel website puts all of those answers behind one link that can be sent in a chat, so the same questions don't have to be answered one by one every day.

What usually holds travel agencies back

For umrah, the first question is almost always about the license. The umrah organizer license (Penyelenggara Perjalanan Ibadah Umrah, PPIU) is now handled by the Kementerian Haji dan Umrah, no longer the Kementerian Agama, and each agency's license status can be checked publicly on the PPIU info page of the SISKOPATUH system: the decree number and date, the accreditation grade and its validity period, and whether the status is active or blocked. In its press release on 29 September 2026, the Kemenhaj asked the public to use officially licensed travel agencies and to check their licenses and validity before departure. An agency that lists its decree number and a link to check it on its website makes that check easy.

The second problem is price. A package that shows a single figure with no breakdown leaves prospective pilgrims unable to compare: are the visa, equipment, and handling included, how many stars is the hotel, and how many nights in Medina. The same press release says the Kemenhaj plans to set a minimum price standard for umrah of around Rp27 million, and asks the public to be suspicious of prices below that standard. A clearly written breakdown helps prospective pilgrims understand why a package costs what it does.

The third is schedules. Departure promotions are usually scattered across WhatsApp statuses, Instagram posts, and printed brochures with dates that are no longer valid. Prospective participants reading an old brochure ask about departures that are already full or already gone. One schedule page with departure dates, final payment deadlines, and seat status cuts down on conversations that end in disappointment.

What it can look like for travel agencies

We built this Sauh Tur & Umroh demo ourselves as an example of the format. The brand, licenses, schedules, and prices are fictional, and that's stated at the top of the demo. It includes ticket-style umrah package cards with duration, departure date, and what is and isn't included; tour packages to Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Labuan Bajo; a filterable departure board with the final payment deadline for each departure; a three-stage payment breakdown; and a legal section showing how to check the license in SISKOPATUH. The WhatsApp button on each schedule row opens a chat that already names the package and date.

What you get

For travel businesses, the content prospective participants usually check before getting in touch:

  • Packages by trip type, for example umrah, international tours, and domestic tours, each with duration, dates, price, and what is and isn't included
  • A departure schedule with final payment deadlines and seat status that you update yourself, not a countdown that never changes
  • Payment stages from down payment to final payment, along with cancellation and refund terms
  • Legal details: the business entity's name, the PPIU license decree number and date exactly as on the decree, the accreditation grade and its validity period, the NIB, and a link to the PPIU info page in SISKOPATUH
  • A WhatsApp button on every package and every schedule, with an opening message that already names the choice
  • Photos from your own trips, used with the permission of the participants who appear in them
  • A domain in your business entity's name, so the address printed on your brochures stays yours

What we don't recommend: pilgrim testimonials without their written permission, "only 2 seats left" notices that are never updated, and promo prices without a breakdown of what's included.

Pricing for a travel website

Agencies with only a few packages can start with the Starter package, Rp 1.500.000: one page with packages, schedules, legal details, and WhatsApp, including a .com domain, hosting, and SSL for the first year, finished about 3 days after we receive your complete materials.

If you have many packages and each one needs its own page, a trip gallery, or a blog with manasik guides, the Business package, Rp 5.000.000 with 1 to 2 weeks of work, is usually the better fit. Online pilgrim registration with document uploads and payment on the website needs a database and a connection to a payment provider, so that's the Enterprise package, from Rp 15.000.000. Data such as passport and KTP numbers is personal data protected by Law No. 27 of 2022, so we design how it's stored from the start. A comparison of what each includes is on the package page.

We break down the Sauh demo section by section, including how to match the license details on your website with your agency's row in SISKOPATUH, in the article travel and umrah website example.

Questions we often get from travel agencies

How much does a travel and umrah website cost?

From Rp 1.500.000 with the Starter package, for one page with packages, schedules, legal details, and WhatsApp. Many packages with a page for each usually fall under Business, Rp 5.000.000. Online registration and payment on the website fall under Enterprise, from Rp 15.000.000.

Which licenses should be shown on a travel and umrah website?

The business entity's name, the PPIU license decree number and date, the accreditation grade and its validity period, and the NIB. Add a link to the PPIU info page in SISKOPATUH, run by the Kementerian Haji dan Umrah, so prospective pilgrims can check the status themselves without having to ask for copies of documents.

Our license was issued when umrah was still handled by the Kemenag. Does it need to be changed on the website?

Write the number, date, and issuer exactly as on your decree. What prospective pilgrims look for most is the current status, so a link to the PPIU info page in SISKOPATUH matters more than the ministry's name on an old document.

Can people register and pay for umrah directly on the website?

Yes, with the Enterprise package, because pilgrims' data has to be stored, checked by staff, and kept confidential, and payments need a payment provider account in your business entity's name. For agencies whose pilgrims can still be served manually, a complete package page plus a WhatsApp button is usually enough.

Departure schedules change often. Who updates them?

Starter and Business have no admin panel, so schedule changes are made by sending us a request. On Business, catalog updates like this are included in the 1-month support period; on Starter, the support period covers bug fixes only, so we state the cost of content changes in the proposal. If schedules and seat quotas change every week, the admin panel in Enterprise makes more sense, because your staff can update them themselves.
